And Then We Remember Again to Pray

It rains and it rains

and sometimes

it rains so hard

that the road washes

out and the walls

of the canyon

slough slouching down

and the rocks release

from their earthen beds

and everything is different

than it was, or rather,

everything is the same only

wildly rearranged, and it rains

and it rains and it rains.
